"There's no way a chain's being put around my leg"--The specific phrase used (Ashi ga tsuku) literally means "(someone's) leg is caught", and it can mean either a criminal getting caught or to get married (though that's less common). Kinda like how "the ball and chain" refers to both those iron balls they attach to prisoners in pop culture, and a thing to call your wife if you're a boomer, at least in my mind.
"Til we're soaked and turn into fools"--The word used here (gushagusha), usually is just onomatopoeia for being soaked, but it also sounds like the word for 'fool' (gusha).
